This e-learning module is an on-demand version of the Knee Surgery Innovation and Technology Forum held on 6-7 May at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), Sydney. The Symposium provided an opportunity to celebrate the innovative and impactful research across knee arthroscopy and arthroplasty. Facilitating this course were chairmen, A/Prof Justin Roe and A/Prof David Parker together with 16 renowned faculty, both local and international who provided a valuable educational program.
The full course (including module 1 and module 2) has been accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and New Zealand Orthopaedic Association (NZOA) for 4 CPD points.
- Attendees will hear from experts on current trends, technologies, and anatomic- based reconstruction techniques in complex knee surgery
- Attendees will develop knowledge and decision-making skills related to the treatment of various meniscus repair, anatomic-based ligament, and knee reconstruction techniques utilizing technology
Topics and procedures will include:
- Repair: ACL reconstruction, LET, all types of meniscus repair, MPFL and patello-femoral reconstruction techniques to improve patient outcomes
- Reconstruction: Total knee prosthesis, enabling technologies including robotics, navigation and image derived instrumentation, TKA balance and alignment
