About this educational activity

The use of molecular genomic techniques and how they may help better understand wound infections

Recent advances in technologies and techniques which circumvent conventional culture analysis have provided new insights into microbial behaviour and function advancing our understanding of pathogenesis. Simultaneously, these same techniques have further allowed us to address "host" response to infection opening a pathway to truly better understating the infective process in wounds. This webinar will provide a brief overview of these new technologies-techniques and how they may eventually end up helping clinicians in the not too far future.
