- State the general concepts of fistulae (definitions and classification)
- Understand that preventing fistulae is preferable by aiming to close the open abdomen by day 8
- Describe efficient patient management for example using the SNAP algorithm (sepsis, nutrition, anatomy, planning)
- Be able to apply the surgical intervention strategy for fistula management and isolation with NPWT
