Dr Ian Lo
Canada

Dr. Lo has dedicated his practice solely to the treatment of shoulder conditions and has helped improve the quality of life of thousands of patients across Canada. He is the Chief of Shoulder & Elbow Surgery and Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Surgery, at the University of Calgary. 

Dr. Lo specializes in the arthroscopic treatment of shoulder conditions and has pioneered several arthroscopic shoulder procedures. He holds multiple patents for innovative products designed to improve shoulder surgery, lectures nationally and internationally and has presented and published hundreds of papers.



Dr Miguel Ruiz Ibán

Spain

Dr Miguel A. Ruiz Ibán is currently the Head of the Shoulder and Elbow Unit in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology in Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal, in Madrid, Spain. He received his medical degree in Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and completed the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Programme at the Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal. 

He completed his PhD, focused in the biomechanics of the lower lumbar spine and pelvis, at the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, Madrid. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Management of Specialist Care Units at the European Institute of Health and Social Wellbeing. He is an active ESSKA member since 2010.

Dr Ruiz Ibán has lectured extensively at national and international meetings. He has authored numerous books, chapters and abstracts. He has published more than 50 papers in indexed, international peer reviewed journals, including Arthroscopy, American Journal of Sports Medicine, KSSTA, Clinical Drug Investigation, Orthopedics and others.


Dr Alan Getgood
Canada

Dr Alan Getgood is an orthopaedic surgeon and clinician scientist specializing in complex knee reconstruction. He completed his primary medical degree at the University of Edinburgh followed by orthopaedic residency and a research Doctorate (MD) at the University of Cambridge. 

His fellowship training included time in London (Ontario), Banff (Alberta) and Coventry (UK). In September 2012 he moved to Canada to work at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic, University of Western Ontario.



Dr Romain Seil
Belgium

Dr Romain Seil is an esteemed orthopaedic surgeon and scientist from Luxembourg with extensive training in Belgium, Germany, and the USA. He completed his doctoral thesis on meniscal repair in 2001 and his professorial thesis on pediatric anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries in 2003, he has been a professor at the University of Saarland since 2007. Prof. Seil serves as CMO at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg, focusing on sports medicine and knee arthroplasty. He co-directs the IOC-accredited REFORM and contributes significantly to orthopaedic research and publications, holding numerous leadership roles in international societies.



Dr Scott Faucett
United States of America

Scott C. Faucett, M.D., M.S. is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, hip preservation and complex knee injuries. At George Washington Hospital, Dr. Faucett serves as the Director of The Hip Preservation Center. He is also a team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard team and former team physician for The George Washington University Colonials.

Dr. Faucett obtained his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School and later completed his residency at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He was then selected for The Steadman Clinic’s prestigious fellowship in Vail, CO. During his fellowship, Dr. Faucett trained in hip arthroscopy and complex knee repairs. He has specialized training in arthroscopic and open hip preservation surgery for hip impingement, labrum tears, complex knee repairs and much more.
