Join us for our webinar on meniscal repair, designed to celebrate the advances in meniscal surgery over the past three decades. Dr David Dejour

Dr David Dejour

Dr. David Dejour is head Director of Lyon-Ortho-Clinic since 1996.

He is known worldwide for his pioneering research on patellofemoral joint, knee ACL, and Patellofemoral joint in degenerative Knee.

His primary interest is knee sport’s traumatology and pain. He published numerous scientific studies about ACL reconstruction, return to sport and muscle recovery after sport’s trauma and has contributed significantly to the development of surgical techniques that are widely used in the treatment of complex knee conditions.

Dr Dejour has been president of ESSKA 2018-2020 and is a member of many national (SOFCOT, SFA) and international (ESSKA, ISAKOS, AOSSM) scientific societies.  


Professor Sebastian Kopf

Prof Sebastian Kopf is a highly respected orthopaedic surgeon specializing in knee surgery and sports medicine. He is renowned for his expertise in knee ligament reconstruction, meniscal surgery, and cartilage repair. Prof. Kopf has contributed extensively to clinical research and education in orthopaedics, with numerous publications in prestigious medical journals. Prof. Kopf is committed to improving patient outcomes and continues to be an influential figure in the global orthopaedic community.

Prof. Kopf is a member of many international societies including ESSKA, ISAKOS, the German Society for Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery (AGA), German Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (DGOU), Magellan Society and honorary member of American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine (AOSSM).


Mr James Robinson

Mr James Robinson is an experienced and skilled specialist knee surgeon with a demonstrated international reputation. His NHS practice is based at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol - the tertiary referral centre for complex knee problems in the South West where he runs weekly Knee Injury Clinics. He has particular interest in arthroscopic “key-hole” surgery, ligament reconstruction, partial knee replacement as well as cartilage and meniscus repair and the treatment of early arthritis. He is often referred complex cases from around the region and has been invited to demonstrate surgery in Europe, Asia and North America.

Dr. Silvio Villascusa Marín is a specialist in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, focusing on complex knee surgeries and sports knee injuries. He is widely recognized for his expertise in advanced arthroscopic techniques and his commitment to enhancing patient care through innovative surgical approaches. Dr. Villascusa has contributed significantly to the field of orthopedics through his involvement in research, education, and clinical practice. His dedication to improving surgical outcomes has made him a respected figure in both the Spanish and international orthopedic communities.

He is currently a member of the European Society of Sports Traumatology Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) and serves as a teacher and committee member.
